Hard Landscaping team leader job
The Garden Lab creates, builds and maintains domestic gardens in Essex, We have a position available for a Landscaping team leader, This position would suit someone that has hard landscaping experience, can manage a landscaping team and run a garden project.
The Garden Lab is based in Essex and all work is local, We build unique gardens so every project is different, Great rates of pay depends on experience, working hours Monday to Friday.

Essential skills:

Experience in a Hard Landscaping team leader / foreman role

Advanced knowledge of Hard landscaping, materials and methods

Great customer service

Read, understand and set out gardens from plans/drawings/garden designs

Highly organised and professional on site with great attention to detail to deliver job a high-quality project from start to finish

Understand how to set out level changes, steps and slopes

Experience of being a team leader in charge of a small or large team required for the project. Being able to work within a team as well as lead and manage a team etc. to maintain high quality of work as well as a good positive working atmosphere on site.

To be able to report and organise a project with management, project schedules, waste, materials, generally running of projects, staff on site, health and safety on site, equipment and tools

Full UK driving licence and own vehicle to get to yard / sites

Must be registered as self-employed

Excellent communication skills and professional attitude on site with both the team and the client

Desire to do great quality work / feel proud of the work and be passionate

Able to work to a schedule to maintain that a project runs on time and budget

Reliability and perfect time keeping is a MUST

Manage and work with sub-contractors when on site (Electricians, tilers, plasters etc)

Able to keep a site clean, tidy and well organise
We are recruiting for a hardworking and reliable Gardener. You will be responsible for all general maintenance and gardening tasks related to the garden including planting, conducting regular pruning and weeding and advising the client on requirements for looking after the garden.

To succeed in this role, you should be physically fit and able to manage small and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional and possess a good knowledge of effective gardening techniques as well as horticultural proficiency.

The site is a farm ground located in RM4. This specific site requires 5 hours per week all year round. We also have other gardens that will require visits located around the areas of Woodford Green and surrounding areas.
Gardener Duties and Responsibilities
• At least 3 years’ proven experience in gardening.
• Ability to handle a range of nursery machinery and powered hand tools.
• In-depth knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
• Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of health and safety rules and legislation.
• Full driving license and access to own vehicle to get to yard / unit.
Gardener Skills and Requirements
• Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.
• Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking.
• Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.
• Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as leaf blowers, lawnmowers, hedge trimmers etc.
• Ability to service all garden equipment and machinery desirable, but not essential.
• Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden and grounds.
• Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden.
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations.
• Experience in gardening.
